So you've made your appointment and now you're walking through our front door.
What's next?
First we're
going to ask you to fill out a basic heath questionnaire. This form takes about five minutes to fill out
and only asks questions that will indicate to us, if massage is appropriate. Once you hand that form in,
your therapist will quickly review it before inviting you back to one of our treatment rooms.
Once inside,
your therapist will ask you questions pertaining to the treatment you're about to receive. This is the time
to ask questions if you have any. You may also ask questions any time during the treatment if one comes to mind.
Once the therapist has answered all of your questions, he or she will instruct you to undress
to your comfort level after they leave the room and depending on the treatment you're about to
receive, how to lie on the treatment table. Once the therapist leaves the room, you will have
adequate time to undress and lie between the sheets on the treatment table.
After a few minutes have passed your therapist will knock on the door and you can tell them you're "ready," or to
"hold on" if you need a few more minutes. A therapist will never enter a treatment room, until
they receive a verbal "okay" from the client. At this point the massage will begin.
During the massage, you will always be properly draped and the only part exposed will be the part they
are working on. Private areas will never be exposed. If you want to talk during the massage,
you may do so, but keep the level down. As a general rule, the therapist will not initiate a
conversation, as you may just want to relax and let the music soak in. Your therapist will
let you know when the massage is over and then leave the room so you may get dressed.
Once you're dressed come back out to the waiting area, where your therapist will be
waiting with a bottle of water for you and where you can pay for the massage.
